Demographics created according to Public history
So, if you remember we were discussing the demographics of the famous CR Park, which has been quite pan-Indian since its origin. Continuing the same, I will focus on the Kali Bari temple that is situated in the area.
Apart from the Residential area in Chittranjan park, there are park, four markets, temple, play grounds, etc. Kali Badi (Temple of goddess Kali)  is one of the iconic place in Chittranjan park. It is situated near market no 4, CR park. In the year 1971, East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh) was separated from India. The Refugees were settled in CR park. And on the mean time they build the Temple. Initially, the Temple was known as "Shiv Mandir" (temple of lord Shiva), and it was not as large as now it is. Hindu Temples symbolizes the synthesis of art, ideals of Dharmas, belief, values, and the way of life cherished under Hinduism and I think It is a link between man, deities, and the Universal Purusa in a sacred space.

In front of the temple there is a huge garden, which contains varieties of flower starting from Daliya, Auster, Ganda, Merigold, Tagar, Jaba, etc.. there are some flower which are brought from outside of the country. which are the symbol of  chastity, purity and loveliness, etc.

In front of Kli mandir there is a hibiscus flower is made by using Terracotta Techniques. which is the representation of  delicate beauty, unity and peace. The hibiscus flower holds special meaning in many Asian countries and is also the national flower of Malaysia. In here it is used for "Kali Mata".

In another side of the  Temple there is the symbol of "Trishul" with "Damru".
Damru symbolizes the Universe which is always expanding and collapsing. From an expansion it collapses and then it re-expands, this is the process of creation. If you see your heartbeat, it is not just one straight line but it is a rhythm that goes up and down. The whole world is nothing but rhythms; energy rising and collapsing to rise again. So the damru signifies that. Look at the shape of the damru, from expansion it collapses and again expands.
The darmru is also a symbol of sound. Sound is rhythm and sound is energy. The whole universe is nothing but a wave function, it is nothing but rhythms. What does quantum physics say? It says the same thing – the whole universe is nothing but rhythms. It is just one wave (Adviata). So the damru signifies the non-dual nature of the universe.
Trishul represents the three aspects of consciousness – waking, dreaming and sleeping, and it represents the three gunas – satva, rajas and tamas. Holding a trishul (Trident) signifies that Shiva (the divinity) is above all the three states – waking, dreaming and sleeping, yet is the upholder of these three states.
The divinity is beyond the three gunas, but it holds the three gunas together.
Shul means problems or suffering. Trishul means that which destroys all kind of suffering.
Three types of pain that arise in life:
1. Aadibhautik (physical)
2. Aadhyaatmik (spiritual) and
3. Aadidaivik (ethereal)
What relieves you from all the problems and suffering is the trishul. And it is in the hand of Shiva.  (source:- Shivmahapuran - www.artofliving.org)

Market no 4 is situated just opposite of  the Temple. the market has a huge bleesing and impact due to the temple. Specially in the time of Durga Puja. The next blog will be the market review of chittranjan park.
